Many organizations raise money and awareness continuously, but a local benefit goes all out for one month. Mizzou for Movember, a student organization that raises awareness about men's health issues such as prostate and testicular cancer, has encouraged MU students to grow mustaches all November. Linked to the national movement of Movember, the MU organization hopes to bring awareness to Columbia by several means, including holding fundraising events around town.
